Gamescom: Black Ops: Declassified reveal trailer

Activision is finally willing to show off Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified for the PS Vita. The company provided a trailer for the handheld shooter today at the Gamescom convention.

The brief trailer showed off both the single player campaign and the multiplayer.

Graphically, the game looks sort of muddy and frankly, inconsistent. In one shot, the textures are blurry and unattractive, in the next shot things are vibrant with impressive lighting. The action itself is pretty repetitive, but there is a hint of scripted events scattered throughout the trailer.

The kicker here for many will be the multiplayer. BO:D will offer 4 vs. 4 multiplayer over Wi-Fi. For reference, the Nintendo DS version of Black Ops allowed teams of 3 vs. 3. Whether or not the Call of Duty name will be enough to make this game a success remains to be seen at this point. Sony is banking on the title to boost Vita sales this holiday season, however. Check out the trailer and judge for yourself:

Stay tuned for more info as it comes.
