The good folks over at Entertainment Weekly got their hands on some fresh new intel about the new Borderlands Legends. Although there isn’t a lot to be shared, what we have been given is really interesting.
The game will play from a top down camera angle, controlling the characters from the first game; Brick, Mordecai, Lilith and Roland. The game will feature new skill trees that are loosely based on those of the original Borderlands with each skill having 5 levels. As well as this, all four characters on screen will be controlled by you, the player, and you will have to utilise their skills with synergy to pull off bigger, more powerful attacks.
The game is likely to follow the same storyline as the first title with randomly-generated missions for you complete. The game will feature level-scaling as an implementation of difficulty and there will be no level cap to speak of. Marcus will be returning as a merchant for your equipment needs and the game will still feature the “Second-wind” gameplay mechanic from the main games.
Besides that, there isn’t a great deal of information. The game will be released on iPad($6.99) and iPhone($4.99) on the 31st of October. The game’s graphics look pretty good considering that it’s being ported down to a smaller screen to a less powerful machine. Below are a few screenshots for you guys to admire.
