Andrew McMillen posted a very interesting piece to Kotaku today on last year’s X-Men Destiny and the state of affairs of the game’s developer, Silicon Knights.
McMillen spoke with several ex-SK staff about the game’s troubled development and how staff at SK were affected. According to several sources, unhappy staff members left in droves as development staggered along.
Sources also confirmed that one of the reason’s X-Men Destiny was not progressing smoothly was that most of the best talent was moved to work on a demo for Eternal Darkness 2, which was to be pitched to different publishers.
Multiple sources now say that Silicon Knights is now composed of less than 5 people. To compare, there were about 125 people on staff when Too Human was in development.
