In case you haven’t heard yet, THQ has been having some money problems lately. Things are not looking good for the company that brought us Darksiders, Red Faction, Saints Row, and way too many SpongeBob games. The latest attempt to turn their fortunes around can work severely to your benefit. Today the company became the latest addition to The Humble Indie Bundle. Now THQ isn’t exactly indie. The only similarity they share is that they’re broke.
The result of this partnership is The Humble THQ bundle. It packs in more high profile games than any Humble Bundle has ever seen. The bundle includes:
- Red Faction: Armageddon
- Metro 2033
- Company of Heroes
- Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
- Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
- Saints Row The Third (if you pay more than the average contribution)
- 5 Game Soundtracks
For those unfamiliar with The Humble Indie Bundles, you pay what you want. Beat the average and get an extra game (in this case, Saints Row The Third). You can choose how the money is divided. Some goes to charity, some to the Humble Bundle site, some to THQ. THQ is hoping you give most of it to them.
Will this save THQ? No. But hopefully it pulls their ass out of the uDraw fire they’ve thrown themselves into.
