I used to play Gunbound. On Gunbound I met a Romanian Kiwi Casanova who promised me he would be the next Adrian Mutu (contract shenanigans aside). Well, he would if only New Zealand had a better football infrastructure. He told me his determination would guarantee him his dreams; a determination which did not include sullying himself by deigning to play professional football at such a bleakly obscure level. But more importantly: he introduced me to Soldat.
Soldat is a 2D free to play (back then we called it shareware) shooter—an online, competitive multiplayer shooter, and it just worked. The shooting felt tight; movement was just awkward enough at first to frustrate, but simple enough to quickly comprehend; and deep enough to eventually master. Despite the model being immediately addictive, there are few 2D competitive shoot ‘em ups. Which is exactly what Warside is—well, at least one mode of it.
If so inclined, why not Greenlight it while you’re Soldatit?
